High-Voltage Transmission

A high level of stability and availability in major grids requires a strongly interconnected high and extra high voltage network. The main power generation plants are often located far away from the main areas of load (consumption) as well as from in-feed points from renewable energy sources; therefore, "high voltage electricity highways" must be provided, which can be based on either direct or alternating current.

Lahmeyer's expertise and experience allows us to develop appropriate and cost-effective HV transmission concepts, carry out the design and subsequently supervise their implementation.
