Waste Incineration Plants – Waste to Energy

Waste incineration plants for household waste are an important factor in many European, American and Asian countries in development of a sustainable waste and recycling economy. Energy in form of heat/cooling and electricity are utilizable by the public and/or industrial sector and metals, minerals and other substances are recovered from the incineration process which can be re-used. Methane emissions, which are formed in waste landfills, are avoided by this technology, which represents an important contribution for the reduction of greenhouse gases.

Lahmeyer offers a wide scope of services which comprise all required stages of utilisation of waste for energy purposes, from the first investigations and assessments up to the implementation and operation of all types of waste treatment facilities. We are in the position to develop conceptual designs for all types of waste incineration plants (grate firing, fluidized bed, rotary kiln) and related water/steam cycle and flue gas cleaning technologies.
