With our structured internationally oriented Young Professional Programme in Engineering we offer you the opportunity to use and improve your skills and knowledge in a practical context. Thereby, you lay the foundation for taking challenging positions and leadership responsibilities.

The 24-month Young Professional Programme is an optimal mix of theory and practice, and will be individually tailored to you – with attractive salary, extensive social benefits and the option of transfer to a permanent position when the programme is finished.

As Young Professional, you will be mainly deployed in the Energy division or in the Hydropower and Water Resources division at our headquarters. For this we develop, together with you, an individual work schedule which includes changing work stations, each with the duration of 3 to 6 months.

From the beginning, you take responsibility for project based tasks within the international project management with the specialisation in e.g. Thermal Power Stations, Renewable Energies, Water Supply, Hydropower Plants, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Energy Transition and Digitalisation. In this way you get to know the various scope of duties in engineering consulting and can prove your skills in practice.

Additionally, you get comprehensive and interdisciplinary insights in divisions beyond your professional focus and you will work in challenging projects. An assignment in an international group company in Belgium or France completes the programme.

With the Young Professional Programme you get on-the-job experience in all relevant departments and business sectors and will become familiar with our group company. The advantage: You develop your professional and interpersonal skills step by step.

Applicants ideally have the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Relevant completed university degree (Master) in the fields:
    Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energies, Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience through internships or similar working experience is preferable
  • Semester/Internship abroad is advantageous
  • Fluent language skills in German and English; French language skills are preferable
  • Specific IT knowledge as well as solid knowledge of MS Office
  • High commitment, ability to cooperate, communication skills
  • Intercultural competence, readiness for business trips and assignments abroad
