The Spanish utility ECYR & DEHESA NORTE, S.A. is developing a solar thermal power plant with parabolic trough technology near Sevilla. Lahmeyer International has been appointed as Technical Consultant to optimize the concept design of the solar part of the plant.
Lahmeyer has been assigned to take the role of Lender’s Engineer for the La Huayca PV Project. The project will be located in the Atacama Desert (Chile) and will consist of 30 MWp of c-Si modules, mounted on fixed structures, and outdoor inverters. Lahmeyer has performed a full technical Due Diligence (leading to a successful financial close) and is currently monitoring the construction phase.
The Client intended to acquire participation in a 117 MW portfolio comprising 15 PV power plants in operation (95 MW) and 4 power plants under construction (22 MW), distributed throughout Spain, France, Italy, Bulgaria and Greece. Lahmeyer was assigned to perform a technical Due Diligence on the portfolio, which provided the Client with a thorough understanding of all the technical aspects of the project, highlighting potential key issues and concerns. The primary focus of this Due Diligence was on an assessment of the energy production and a review of the operational management. The compilation of a large amount of project information within a short period presented a challenge on this project. However, thanks to Lahmeyer’s in-depth knowledge of PV technologies, and the availability o…
The Client intends to realize a Renewable Energy Development Plan (REDP), developing wind farms and solar power plant projects. These developments are separated into two phases: Phase 1: For the solar power components, Lahmeyer International is preparing a feasibility study, Tender Documents and the basic design for two PV plants with a total of 12 MW. For a Concentrating Solar Power plant, Lahmeyer is preparing a feasibility study. We are also supervising the current construction of a 2 MW PV plant. Phase 2: The implementation of the wind farm and the PV plants will be supported by Lahmeyer International, which includes a design review, project management and construction supervision for the two wind farms, each between 50 and 75 MW, and two further PV plants.
Lahmeyer was appointed by Grupo Banco Popular, as leader of a group of banks, to carry out a technical Due Diligence for the installation of a 17 MW solar tower power plant in Spain. The power plant will be associated with the installation of a large size molten salt thermal storage facility, which will allow it to operate for over 6,000 hours per year. The scope of the services was primarily connected with the verification of the estimated annual energy yield of the plant, and the influence of the technical parameters on the economic feasibility of the project. It was also necessary to review the permits and licenses which are required for the project’s development, and to determine and evaluate the main project risks. Following the completion of the Due Diligence process, Lahmeyer was …
The New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) is implementing the Gulf of El Zayt Wind Energy Project with the foreign currency portion financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project is envisaged with a capacity of 220 MW.
Akenerji Elektrik A. Ş. planned to install a natural gas fired combined cycle power plant with the capacity in the order of 900 MW at the North-East shore of the Bay of Iskenderun close to the village of Aşağiburnaz in Turkey.
