Bankable Feasibility Study for SARAY Thermal Power Plant,
BAŞAT acquired a 30 year concession for exploitation of the Tekirdağ Saray lignite mine comprising the sectors Edirköy, Kücükyoncali and Safaalan with an estimated lignite reserve of approximately 129 million tons. The mine is located 150 km north-west of Istanbul, Turkey. BAŞAT has the intention to convert the lignite into electrical energy in one power plant to be constructed near the mine sites and sell it under an IPP scheme.
