ROJANA CC Cogeneration Power Plant, 289 MW + 55 MW Extension
The 344 MWe ROJANA combined cycle cogeneration project is located at Rojana Industrial Park at Ayyuthaya / Thailand. ROJANA POWER COMPANY LTD. implemented the first phase of the non-recourse financed project under the Thai SPP (Small Power Producer) program by March 1999.
All project phases were supplied under EPC-Contracts by two different Contractors.
The facility supplies up to 264 MWe and 30 t/h saturated steam to the industrial park and 90 MWe to the Electrical Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) through the local grid of Provincial Electric Authority (PEA). The process steam consumers of the industrial park are mainly consumer goods and electronic industries that utilise the steam for process heating purposes.
After successful completion of phases 1 to 4 and to comply with the continuously increasing demand of the industrial park and to improve efficiency, the plant was extended by a fifth gas turbine and associated HRSG, cooling and chilled water cooled air inlet. Phase 5 extension was completed in the year 2011.
