Financial and Tariff Analysis
For the analysis of the financial viability of energy infrastructure projects, we have developed a series of custom-built financial models which have been successfully applied on numerous such projects. These models take full account of the project structure and inputs, and are able to respond to variations in financing conditions, comparative market pricing, as well as climate offset and adjustment mechanisms. Sensitivity analyses are used to indicate the effect of various possible changes in key input parameters, in order to provide a robust assessment of financial viability for decision-making purposes.
Complementary to these financial analyses, Lahmeyer performs detailed tariff studies which take account of the specific strategic and regulatory framework, in order to determine the returns on the proposed investments. This leads to the evaluation of tariffs at all stages along the supply chain: from initial generation to transmission/distribution to the final consumers.
