At Lahmeyer International there are no “classic” career paths. In fact you profit from diverse tasks and a high degree of personal responsibility right from the start.
Apart from professional specialists, our largest and most important staff group is comprised of our project managers and project engineers. If you are interested in that type of task, we would like to utilize your previous experiences and your knowhow. It is self-evident that you will keep on growing and adding to your knowledge with each project and every new task – and you will qualify yourself primarily through training on the job and through additional tasks. Even as a job starter you will quite early work independently on projects or parts of them. Just like pilots are first trained on smaller machines before they fly a jumbo jet, we trust you as project manager with smaller projects first. That way you will be completely fit when a large project is planned that requires all of your skills.
From project engineer to project manager, from smaller to larger projects – there is no linear career path with us. It is quite common that an engineer is a project engineer in one project and the project manager in another one. The result is a very flat hierarchy and a cooperative working environment - since there is a good team work between all staff members.
You quickly get to know a number of colleagues in our company with whom you can exchange professional and personal information. There will be no lack of topics in our multi-disciplinary environment. Of course, the know-how transfer among colleagues does not constitute our only source of knowledge. To be close to new technologies, developments and trends, we maintain intensive contacts to universities and associations take part in forums and conferences in Germany and abroad and do everything to update and intensify our knowledge. Added to that are suitable continuing education offers which will mature you professionally and personally.
