That’s difficult to generalize. Professionally speaking, you should fit the requirements of “your” position. Aside from that we think it’s important that you look beyond your own nose, openly approach others and are able to familiarize yourself with different topics.

As a matter of course, we would like to fill most of the open positions as quickly as possible. But if you turn out to be our ideal candidate, a later entry date is no obstacle. Unless an early entry date is of particular urgency for us.

Basically everything that helps us to assess your knowledge and your personality. Specifically we would like – with electronic or written applications – a cover letter in which you briefly mention why you are the ideal candidate for the job, a CV, degree certificate or high school diploma and (if applicable) your job references. You have continuing education certificates, not older than 5 years? They interest us, too. Don’t forget to mention your earliest possible entry date or length of notice required and your desired salary.

Well, that depends. You find out where exactly in our job offers. You are applying for finance or another central department? Then you will be permanently in Bad Vilbel close to Frankfurt/Main. You would like to dive into our project world? Even then you will most likely have your base camp in Bad Vilbel – and from there travel on to your project locations.

Business trips are an important part of the job for our consulting engineers since our projects and our customers are international. Short business trips of 3 to 5 days or longer trips of several weeks are required depending on the type of project. When staying 3 months or more we speak of assignments which oftentimes include a stay of 1 to 2 years. Of course, we don’t send our project engineers on short notice and unprepared: Every on-site assignment is planned and discussed with you.

Our name, Lahmeyer International, speaks for itself. Most of our projects are located abroad, a large number even outside of Europe.

Don’t worry, we know that Arabic, Afrikaans or Japanese are rarely part of the curriculum. But at least you should have good spoken and written English language skills. Almost everywhere you can communicate this way and discuss professional topics with customers and contractors. Naturally, additional languages are welcome, especially French and Spanish.

Basically good. But our offers for students are rather dependent on the different departments’ capacities. Internship or thesis: Generally you work here for 6 months. Naturally we want you to have a good look at what we do – and of course for you to have an excellent thesis.

Yes, you can. We are training people to be industrial clerks (Industriekauffrau/-kaufmann) at our location in Bad Vilbel. You can also complete a combined study program leading to the Bachelor of Arts (Business Administration) which includes a vocational training of industrial clerk.
