Gas-fired Power Production in Europe including Carbon Capture System
Lahmeyer International was assigned to execute a project study to compare alternative concepts of combined cycle power plants with a capacity of 400 – 500 MWel based on the latest most cost efficient technology in three European countries (Germany, Middle Norway and Slovakia).
Each option has been investigated with and without a carbon capture plant with respect to the plant performance. The considered carbon capture plant is designed as a post-combustion plant with an efficiency of 90 % CO2 capturing.
