Geothermal Energy - Short Due Diligence for the Rebuild of a Power Station in “The Geysers”, California (WGP Unit 1)
“WGP Unit 1” is part of The Geysers field in California, located 120 km north of San Francisco. The Geysers is the largest known geothermal field in the world. There are only five fields in the world known which deliver “dry” steam, this means no liquid is present in the production of the steam. The Geysers is one of those five fields.
A geothermal power plant with around 30 MW electrical power is foreseen. The geological feasibility study for “WGP Unit 1” is the basis of this work.
