IWPP Jubail Combined Cycle Power and Desalination Plant Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Power & Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (“Marafiq”) has invited Investors to submit proposals for the development of a dual purpose power generation and water desalination facility in Jubail Industrial City in Saudi Arabia, on a build, own, operate and transfer basis. This Independent Water and Power Production (IWPP) Project comprises the following:
- The Combined Cycle Power Plant with a nominal capacity of about 2,750 MW electric power and a Desalination Plant with 880,000 m3/day of potable water at site conditions. The complex includes also the seawater intake and outfall structures for cooling and desalination water.
- The External facilities required for the interconnection, operation and dispatch of power generation and water production facilities with the existing fuel, electrical, potable water and waste water networks of Jubail Industrial City.
