Technical and Economic Assessment of the Power Plant Construction Project in Orenburg Oblast
OJSC TNK-BP Management plans to implement the Associated Gas-fired Power Plant Construction Project in Orenburg Region (borderline between Europe and Asia) with the capacity range between 400 and 450 MW to be commissioned by 2015.The Project pursues two major goals: recovery of associated gas from its neighbouring oil fields and highly efficient energy generation. Lahmeyer International Rus was awarded the contract to develop the conceptual design on the basis of SC or CC technologies. The estimation of cost and scope of network construction was performed for each of the considered sites with 3 construction scenarios. 5 potential construction sites have been investigated and assessed with issuance of recommendations for the most feasible ones in terms of PP construction.
